The Liberian Vice President, Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, who is currently visiting Uganda in what is billed to be high level talks rotating around business cooperation between the two countries, has met President Yoweri Museveni and also opened up an infrastructure project office in Entebbe.
Mr. Anthony Ashaba, a director at Development Infrastructure, a Ugandan company based in both Uganda and Liberia, confirms the developments and says the talks revolved around infrastructure and ICT investements in both countries.
Development Infrastructure, who are the owners of Arua Hill Stadium in Arua City, and are co-hosting the Vice President, are set to construct a 10,000 units low cost housing project in Monrovia.
In a tweet, the new state minister designate for Trande, Industry and Cooperatives Hon. David Bahati said:
“I later accompanied the Liberian VP to commission Joadah Consult/Development Infrastructure headquarters in Entebbe. Govt is committed to supporting the private sector to create jobs and wealth for Ugandans.”
Dr. Taylor, who is also a former first lady, is in Uganda to benchmark Ugandan projects for her country and also visit projects done by Development Infrastructure and Joada consultants.
In the coming days, she will interact with several Ugandan businessmen who are gearing up for investment opportunities in Liberia.
