FAKE COVID TEST RESULTS
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has suspended Selmek Medical Services from carrying out any Covid-19 tests.
In a letter dated 21 July 2021, Director General Health Services, Dr. Henry Mwebesa said the suspension follows reports from Entebbe Airport and other laboratories that he says has observed a high rate of fraudulent Covid-19 results for samples associated with the medical facility.
In addition, Dr. Mwebesa says the facility is not officially accredited to offer Covid-19 testing services/sample collection.
To this, Dr. Mwebesa wrote: “with immediate effect you are instructed to stop Covid 19 testing services. All Covid 19 testing laboratories are hereby instructed to stop receiving samples from your facility.”
