Dubbed ‘Countdown to Uganda @59’ will feature top stories that have marked this journey up to the end of the countdown.
Launching the series at MediaScape News headquarters at Namuswa Plaza in Wandegeya Kampala City, the News Editor Francis Otucu said the move is not only to educate digital Ugandans about their country’s history but also about making a contribution towards rekindling the spirit for love for Uganda.
“This series is special and will be highly informative and entertaining,” he said.
He added that the stories will start running on August 1st 2021 and close on the 9th of October 2021 which is Uganda’s 59th Independence Anniversary.
The series will be anchored by top Ugandan historians Tony Geoffrey Owana and Faustine Mugabe.
Meanwhile, the General Manager MediaScape News, Abel Abaho Rwenda, has called on companies, government departments and individuals to book space on the series portal to celebrate the journey at affordable prices.
He says the informative series will pull a special audience which the clients can take advantage of to increase awareness about themselves and the services they offer.
He added that the stories will regularly be streamed on social media to help clients reach a bigger audience.
Rwenda added that Uganda is clocking 59 years old at a time when the nation is joining the 4th Industrial Revolution bandwagon of technology as the quick path to socio-economic development.
